Hello there and welcome  

I have been involved in the business of converting materials and making things for over thirty years. I started as a ‘boy’ on the shop floor learning my trade as an apprentice and it seems I have been learning ever since. There is just something wonderful and satisfying about creating items of use and beauty and what was just a job became a hobby – and quite a profitable one too. Of course it didn’t just develop overnight but the moment of change really came when I worked for a successful company who wanted to develop new products via a casting process. 

Here I learned the priceless tips and tricks of the casting, mould making and finishing industry – I got to know all the little wrinkles of the processes, the techniques people don’t tell you about and the ‘black art’ knowledge passed down through the trade. I was really lucky because I met suppliers, competitors, designers and customers – I got to go to other factories and see how they did it and also talk to the people doing it – sharing their ideas and techniques – it was really quite an eye opener to learn how simply and cheaply it was to create very expensive, complicated things of beauty – providing you knew how.  

I enjoy my life now where I get the opportunity to pursue a hobby which provides me with a great deal, I get a chance to meet and teach people new things which make a big difference to their lives, allowing them to be independent - and I work to provide new learning experiences and challenges to children giving them skills for the future - so my payback comes in many ways.

Above all I have been involved in the industry of making things, creating things of beauty which have sold in some cases for huge sums of money –  I and my family have benefited enormously from this and my aim is for you to benefit too.
